If the patient presents with any of the following acute conditions, call an ambulance immediately. Do not attempt to drive yourself.

  • Crushing chest pressure, pain radiating to arm, neck, or jaw
  • Sudden facial drooping, arm weakness, or difficulty speaking (FAST signs)
  • Severe sudden shortness of breath or inability to catch breath
  • Loss of consciousness, unresponsive patient, or sudden severe seizure
  • Massive uncontrolled bleeding or major head trauma with confusion
  • Severe allergic anaphylaxis (lip/throat swelling, difficulty swallowing)

Family Support Policy

Family & Visitor Emergency Protocol

We recognize the vital comfort family provides during acute illness. To maintain clinical safety, sterile protocols, and patient privacy, we maintain structured visitor guidelines.

Bedside Companions

Up to two (2) designated immediate family members or support persons may remain at the patient's bedside in private treatment suites, subject to physician discretion during sterile procedures.

Pediatric Patients

Both parents or primary legal guardians are permitted to remain with pediatric patients 24 hours a day without restriction throughout their emergency stay.

Quiet Family Consultation Suites

Private, soundproof consultation rooms are available adjacent to the trauma suites where attending specialists discuss care plans in complete confidentiality.
