Privacy Policy & Clinical Data Protection

Aurelia Health (“we”, “our”, or “hospital”) adheres to the strictest Swiss medical secrecy standards and international data governance regulations to safeguard your personal, clinical, and biometric information.

1. Legal Basis & Medical Confidentiality

All clinical records, diagnostic imaging, pathology reports, and consultation notes are protected under Article 321 of the Swiss Criminal Code (Medical Secrecy) and the Swiss Federal Act on Data Protection (FADP / nLPD), as well as the General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR) for international patients.

2. Data Collection & Purpose of Processing

We process patient data solely for the following clinical and administrative purposes:

  • Clinical diagnostics, surgical planning, and ongoing therapeutic treatment.
  • Direct settlement and pre-authorization with approved private insurance providers.
  • Encrypted coordination between attending physicians, specialists, and multidisciplinary tumor boards.
  • Emergency medical dispatch and intensive care unit notifications.

3. Security Standards & Storage Architecture

Medical dossiers are hosted exclusively on dedicated, high-security Swiss cloud infrastructure certified to ISO/IEC 27001 and HIN (Health Info Net) standards. Multi-factor authentication, end-to-end TLS 1.3 encryption, and strict role-based access control are enforced hospital-wide.

4. Patient Rights & Data Access

Patients retain the right to request full copies of their medical records, request corrections, or revoke non-essential processing consents at any time by contacting our Data Protection Officer at:
